ESRI Courses

ArcGIS 10.3 is a major release that brings exciting tools for mapping and analytics, a brand-new desktop application, new capabilities for developers, and the tight integration among desktop, server, and online components needed to make Web GIS a reality. Esri certification exams table

Exam-development work is in progress and will continue throughout 2015.

Release Timeline

The first 10.3 exams to be released will be the ArcGIS Desktop Associate and Professional exams, our most popular exams. We expect those exams to be open for public registration by May.

The exam-release timeline is a careful balance between the Esri certification community’s desire for fast access to exams covering the latest technology and the time needed for individuals to develop measurable expertise through hands-on application of the software.

It takes many in-house subject matter experts and third-party psychometricians to create a certification exam. Scheduling numerous workshops around their busy work and travel commitments is nothing short of a logistical triumph. We thank all the experts for their time and dedication.

Exam Preparation Resources

For previous exam versions, we created preparation resources including a study guide from Esri Press, two instructor-led courses, and free web courses that provide practice sample questions.

For the 10.3 exams, our plan is to create resources that will be accessible to the most candidates. First, we’ll expand our selection of the very popular sample question web courses. We’re also exploring the possibility of creating e-book study guides and new instructor-led courses.

Supporting candidates with high-quality resources to help them achieve their certification goals is one of our top priorities. With so much exam development work in progress, however, web courses and study guides may not be available when each exam is released. As always, a list of helpful Esri resources will be provided on each exam web page.

To date, more than 4, 000 Esri technical certifications have been awarded. We look forward to sharing the 10.3 exams with the certification community and celebrating your successes in 2015.
