Online classes platform
More and more, schools are starting to offer online courses, sometimes as full replacements for regular classes and sometimes as supplemental learning. If you have advice to share about teaching or taking classes online, jump in and help out a fellow reader!

I am a high school teacher that will be teaching some new classes next fall. These classes will be "blended" which means that we will meet once a week as well as online. I am currently exploring some online teaching tools like Moodle, Schoology, and Mybigcampus. So far I don't care for Moodle at all, I've had strange technical issues with Mybigcampus, and am just starting with Schoology. I was wondering if the Lifehacker talent pool or public had any input into learning platforms or techniques. I'd also be interested in anyone experiences with online learning for what worked well and what didn't work at all.

The college I attend for my part-time course uses Moodle. It allows embedded video and online classes/tests etc. Also it is free and written in php so should be runnable on any hosting that supports php & a database backend.
