Blackboard Collaborate is a web conferencing platform with a shared display area, real-time video, voice, chat, and polling options. Although Blackboard Collaborate is widely used for delivering presentations online to large audiences, it is easily utilized for individual conference sessions such as for conducting Virtual Office Hours.

Many organizations are choosing to cut their meeting and conferencing budgets in favor of meeting online, or web conferencing. This not only helps companies save money, but also helps with their carbon footprint as there is no need for employees to travel anywhere in order to attend or host a web conference.
