Videoconferencing Best Practices
Over the past year new terminology and matured technologies have emerged in the Distance Education field. We were introduced to MOOC’s (Massive Open Online Courses), we witnessed enhanced collaborative software, dynamic digital repositories, and shrinking mobile devices capable of doing online course work. There have also been enhancements to assessment models along with different learning analytics and lastly some of us flipped our classrooms.
We have invited Dr. Anthony G. Picciano, Professor and Executive Officer, PhD Program in Urban Education- City University of New York to provide a keynote address. In the morning he will be speaking on “Blended Learning Meets MOOCs: Education’s Digital Future.” Dr. Picciano has published a number of works on Blended Learning. We are hoping to have the morning keynote sessions videoconferenced to the New York City Campus.
